Redmi S2 has been said to be on the upcoming huge Xiaomi launch, now that the Mi 6X continues to be officially published and Mi 7 unveiling is anticipated to maintain Q3. It had been previously rumoured the Redmi S2 will be found in India and China as a budget smartphone.
The Redmi S2 teaser image has been seen on Weibo, and it is made up of a sizable ‘S’ drawn with blue and red paint. This could show that the smartphone will probably arrive at Red and Blue colour variants. The ‘S’ may also signify the arrival of a new version in the organization’s own SoC lineup – the Surge S2. The launch of a new smartphone appears to be more probable, given the number of current leaks. Furthermore, the smartphone has again been spotted in Czech Republic, and this time a photo was shared by one of GSMArena’s readers. The photograph consists of a rather blurry Redmi S2 along with the specifications mentioned below it.
From the photo, only the front of the Redmi S2 could be seen, and it feels like the bezels are kept at minimum. The 3.5millimeter audio jack is observed sitting on the top border of this smartphone. The specifications noted in the picture state the Redmi S2 will operate on MIUI 9 predicated on Android Oreo, and sport a 5.99-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixel) display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. It’ll be powered by a Snapdragon 625 SoC and sport double cameras in the rear – one sensor at 12-megapixel and another at 5-megapixel. The front camera will be in 16-megapixel resolution, along with the battery power is at 3080mAh.
