The OnePlus 6 launch seems just around the corner since the company has gone all out posting Tips and teasers via its official Social Networking accounts, not Forgetting the various Escapes that we’ve seen till date.
Carrying forward the trend, two new developments have emerged first, a hint that the OnePlus 6 will probably have some type of water resistance, – and – next, certain camera samples of the yet-to-be-launched forthcoming OnePlus flagship.
In a tweet on Monday, OnePlus hinted at the presence of water resistance on the OnePlus 6. The company tweeted out, “Don’t you just hate it when you need to stop using your telephone when it rains? While the teaser does not explicitly mention that the standard of water-resistance, we could expect it to be at least an IP67 rating considering it is the standard with current-generation Android OEM-branded flagships.
Interestingly, all the shots posted on the internet have been taken through the day time under sunlight hence do not reveal the low light performance of this smartphone’s camera yet. And, obviously, we couldn’t acquire any EXIF, XMP, along with other metadata information from the pictures posted. The photos are said to have been shot at the Stanford campus in California and demand shots of flower beds and buildings.

As for different specifications, preceding rumours have indicated that the OnePlus 6 will contain the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, up to 8GB of RAM, up to 256GB of inbuilt storage, along with a vertical dual rear camera setup. On the other hand, OnePlus itself has supported particular features of this flagship handset. These include a screen notch (using the choice to hide it), an Alert Slider with added functionality, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Just lately, Gadgets 360 learnt the OnePlus 6 will be exclusive to Amazon.in at India.
