The update comes just weeks after HMD Global introduced a beta evaluation programme for the flagship handset which has been running Android 8.0 Oreo until today and lately obtained the February Android safety limitation. The company’s Chief Product Officer Juho Sarvikas on Tuesday announced the latest update rollout through a tweet.
“We’re rolling out Android Oreo 8.1 on Nokia 8! Get the sweetest Android up to now,” Sarvikas tweeted. In accordance with the official changelog, as spotted by folks at AndroidPolice, the Android 8.1 Oreo upgrade (version 4.84A) for your Nokia 8 includes battery economy navigation buttons, a revamped electricity menu, new settings menu, along with Bluetooth battery percent. Launched in September last year with Android 7.1.1 Nougat, the Nokia 8 obtained an update to Android 8.0 in November.
