Nokia 3 has received its Android 8.0 Oreo beta Upgrade.
HMD International Chief Product Officer Juho Sarvikas at the company’s pre-MWC 2018 press conference on Sunday demonstrated the arrival of the new update alongside mentioning the launch of Android Oreo beta upgrade for the Nokia 2. The executive said that the beta update would reach the Nokia 2 in the next few weeks. He especially announced the Android Oreo beta update for the Nokia 3 overdue.
To install Android Oreo beta upgrade to your Nokia 3, you want to register/ sign up to your Nokia Beta Labs supply your IMEI number for an endorsement. Once accepted, you will get a notification for the upgrade that will allow you to download the upgrade package. You should use a Wi-Fi link to download the update and are advised to back up your personal data before beginning the upgrade process.
As per the screenshot supplied by a Twitter user, the Android Oreo beta update for the Nokia 3 is approximately 1.6GB in size and includes core Android 8.0 Oreo features such Picture-in-Picture mode, Notification dots, Google Play Protect safety notes, Autofill passwords, along with Quicker boot up. The update also brings the February Android security patch.
Launched in June a year ago with Android 7.0 Nougat, the Nokia 3 (Inspection) received an update to Android 7.1.1 in August. The smartphone is one of the cheap models by HMD Global, priced at Rs. 9,499. It has a 5-inch HD screen and has a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek 6737 SoC, paired with 2GB of RAM. There is also 16GB of onboard storage plus a 2650mAh battery.
