MakeMyTrip CEO Denies Hotel Bookings Ban, Says 'It Is Business as Usual'Online travel Portal Site MakeMyTrip on Wednesday denied reports that claimed that hotel bookings on Its Own platform as well as on Goibibo Are Prohibited, stressing that”it is business as Normal”.

A viral message on societal media maintained the MakeMyTrip and Goibibo have been banned.

In accordance with MakeMyTrip CEO, all bookings on its platforms were honoured.

“There’s misinformation being spread in societal media about hotel bookings on MakeMyTrip and Goibibo not being honoured.

“We continue to run our business as normal, with roughly 1 lakh room nights booked just yesterday our platforms,” he added.

Magow’s response came in the background of several hotel spouses in Ahmedabad expressing concerns on their commercial conditions with MakeMyTrip and Goibibo.

“We’ve about 55,000 domestic hotels and 500,000 global hotels as our spouses and we’re proud and privileged to have this broad network of hotels to serve all of accommodation needs of our clients,” said the CEO.

“We are honouring all reservations on our stage across cities, making sure there isn’t any hassle for every client who books on MakeMyTrip and Goibibo,” Magow added.

According to Prashanth Aroor, MD and CEO, Intellistay Hotels, they remain completely available to book via MakeMyTrip and Goibibo.

“We continue to work closely with them during this period of marketplace confusion to ensure that all reservations have been honoured at all our hotels and consumers aren’t overburdened in anyhow,” he said.
