Delhi Government Launches 'One Delhi' App, Helps Users Plan Journeys on Metro and Buses

To Facilitate the use of public transport in the State capital, the Delhi government on Tuesday Established a common mobility app’One Delhi’ to allow users plan more efficiently their Travel with Delhi Metro and all city buses.

“To make travel easier in Delhi, the program lets users get all bus stops, bus and metro routes, fares, expected time of arrival (ETA) of metro and buses,” the government said in a statement.

Launch the program, Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot stated:”The Delhi government was taking many initiatives to improve access, reliability and safety of Delhi’s buses. Our vision is to make public transportation the preferred mode of transport in Delhi.

We launched’Connect Delhi’ project to achieve the goal of connecting all colonies and villages of Delhi using a reliable bus service in 500-metre walking distance,” he explained.

Later, in a tweet, he said:”After the launch of Common Mobility Card One Card, I am happy to launch today Delhi’s first common mobility program – One Delhi App. This is a 1 stop shop for all your public transport needs — bus/metro paths, bus stops, real-time arrival information, travel planning etc..”

Dialogue and Development Commission Vice-Chairman Jasmine Shah said the government has plans to add new features to the app, like recharge of One Card and integrated multi-modal journey planning across buses and metro.

This program is now accessible for Android users through Google Play, and will be designed for Apple phone users shortly, ” he said.
